Do I need to give my pet Flea and Tick all year round?

We recommend year-round Flea and Tick preventatives. New England winters are not consistently cold like they used to be, which causes ticks to be a concern year-round. Fleas are also out during the warmer weather. When it gets cold, fleas love coming to your home to stay warm and infest your pets. You can also bring fleas and ticks into your home as well.

What does a physical examination consist of?

Our veterinarian will check your pet’s weight, teeth, oral cavity, eyes, vision, ears, hearing, and skin during a physical examination. They will palpate the joints, muscles, lymph nodes, and abdomen. They will also listen to your pet’s heart and lungs. The veterinarian will administer necessary vaccinations, discuss how your pet is doing at home and give recommendations for your pet’s overall health.

Do I need to give my pet heartworm preventative?
Yes, it is recommended by The American Heartworm Society to protect against heartworm disease year-round. Some preventatives also help protect against common intestinal parasites as well.
What type of surgeries do you offer?
We perform spays, neuters, growth removals, and a variety of soft tissues surgeries.
