Spaying and Neutering
Spaying or neutering your pet helps them live a longer and healthier life, decrease the chance of unplanned pregnancies, minimize behavior problems and decreases the chance of certain cancers.
We strongly recommend spaying and neutering your pet. We understand many pet owners want to have their pet spayed/neutered, but are simply unable to afford it. To help pet owners financially, we accept Friends of Animals Certificates and SNAP Certificates. These certificates decrease the cost of surgery. The pet will still get the same quality of care they would without the certificate, just at a lower price for the pet owner.
Our requirements for the Friends of Animals and SNAP Certificates are as follows:
If your pet is not a patient at our hospital, a pre-surgical examination appointment is required prior to booking any surgical procedure. If your pet is an existing patient, but has not been examined in the last 4 months, an exam is required.
Written proof Requirements:
If your pet is 7 years old or older, pre-surgical blood work is required. If your pet is under 7 years old, pre-surgical blood work is not required, but highly recommended.
If you have any questions on spaying, neutering or any other surgical procedure, please call the hospital and we would be happy to answer your questions.
